Derick is passionate about being able to use his training and experience in the pursuit of helping those who support and bravely serve our communities both at home and abroad. He works to create a safe and supportive environment to help his clients feel understood and empowered to share and work together towards their unique and individual treatment goals.

Derick is currently completing his pre-doctoral residency with the London Clinical Psychology Residency Consortium, where he has received training in the assessment and treatment of Veterans and currently serving members of the Canadian Forces and RCMP.

During his clinical training, Derick has developed experience in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of a broad range of mental health concerns including mood and anxiety disorders like depression and PTSD, focusing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions. He received his Masters in Psychology in 2013, and will be receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo this fall.
